Caregiver Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at CommonSail Investment Group. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized assistance and care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide bathing, showering, and grooming assistance to residents
  • Assist residents with dining and meal preparation
  • Provide wheelchair and walking escorts to residents
  • Offer toileting and light incontinence care assistance
  • Assist with morning and bedtime routines
  • Perform light upkeep of resident rooms
  • Answer resident call signals and respond to their needs
  • Assist with medication administration and personal care
  • Provide comprehensive care for resident pets, including feeding, replenishing water, and bathroom requirements
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous healthcare, geriatrics, or experience working with the elderly population preferred
  • Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
Working Conditions:

This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently. The employee is expected to possess good organization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. The employee must be compassionate and empathetic.

The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
