Job Overview

Position Title: Community Based Contract Compliance Auditor

Department: DCS

Job Duration: 10+ Months

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite evaluations of community-based contracted provider organizations.
  • Perform audits across designated DCS regions, ensuring compliance with service standards and billing accuracy.
  • Engage in regular travel to various provider locations for comprehensive reviews.
  • Participate in quarterly meetings at the Central Office to discuss findings and strategies.
  • Provide education and recommendations for corrective actions when discrepancies are identified.
  • Collaborate with a statewide team through regular meetings to enhance auditing processes.
  • Suggest improvements to existing procedures while adhering to state laws and policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through ongoing training related to auditing practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in auditing or investigations.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with state agencies and community programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in developing and implementing corrective action plans for audits.
  • Thorough understanding of relevant state laws, policies, and service standards.
  • Previous experience as a billing auditor within a governmental agency is preferred.
