Salary: The estimated hourly salary range for this position is $23-$25 per hour, based on industry standards and location factors.
Job Description:
This role requires a valid Medical Card and a current valid license, as specified by DOT regulations. The primary responsibilities of a Shuttle Driver DOT include safely operating shuttle buses and transporting passengers to their destinations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering exceptional client and customer experiences by answering questions, providing city directions, and ensuring positive interactions.
- Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining bus cleanliness, fueling buses, logging trip counts, and assisting disabled passengers.
- Being punctual and adhering to a uniform dress code at all times.
- Maintaining a valid state-issued driver's license and an acceptable DMV record.
- Reporting any accidents, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
- Communicating debris, water, oil spills, and other issues to the garage office.
- Substituting for Cashiers or Valets when necessary, if authorized.
- Holding thorough knowledge of garage areas, major streets, landmarks, and freeways to assist customers seamlessly.
- Assisting customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Less than High School education or one month of related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid CDL Class A, B, or C Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement, as required by DOT regulations.
- A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Availability to work special shifts, including 3rd shift and weekends, if required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information effectively to customers and colleagues.
