**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Citrus Hospital. As a CVOR Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.

**Responsibilities:**

* Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up and testing equipment, and ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.

* Assist the surgical team with preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping patients.

* Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized.

* Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.

* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and outcomes.

**Requirements:**

* 1-2 years of experience as a CVOR Technologist or in a related field.

* Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience with robotic thoracic surgery.

* Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Operating Room Technologist (CORT).

**Work Schedule:**

* Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and Holidays in rotation with Hospital employees.

**Unit Information:**

* CVOR 70610

* Number of CVOR's: 2 and 1 structural heart suite

* Number of Staff: 7-10

* Type of staff: 1 anesthesia tech, 2 scrub techs, 2 first-assts, 4 nurses, 1 supervisor, 2 CT surgeons, 3 perfusionists

* Type of equipment – Davinci Robot, Terumo and Maquet vein harvesting systems, Storz cameras.

* Typical procedures performed on unit(s): CABG, Valve procedures, robotic lobes and decortications, carotid endarectomy, TAVR, Mitraclip

**Unit Guidelines/Policies:**

* Must reside within 30 minutes from the hospital for on-call purposes.
