Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Management Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for helping clients optimize their financial management processes and improve their overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support key leadership meetings by preparing briefing materials, participating in discussions, documenting major decisions, and capturing and tracking action items.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical assistance for audit preparation and remediation efforts, including developing integrated enterprise strategies and corrective action plans.
  • Monitor and provide feedback on audit remediation efforts and plans executed by various organizations.
  • Provide communication support for internal and external briefings, requests for information, and other stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc requests, such as researching topical accounting and auditing issues, developing and reviewing position papers, and providing integration support.
  • Develop, evaluate, update, maintain, and monitor risk registers, trackers, master schedules, and similar work products.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a relevant area of study.
  • THREE (3) years of full-time experience within the past 10 years of progressive experience providing accounting services to the Federal Government agencies or Fortune 500 companies or relevant experience.
  • Experience in providing audit readiness or audit remediation support, or performing financial statement audits, within the federal government.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrates knowledge of federal accounting and auditing standards and guidance in relation to federal financial statement auditing, internal controls, audit liaison, financial reporting, financial business process reengineering, and data analytics.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by a State licensing agency, certified defense financial manager, or certified government financial manager.
  • Experience with DoD and/or the Department of the Navy.
  • Demonstrates abilities and success with identifying and addressing client needs, actively participating in client discussions and meetings, communicating a broad range of Firm services, preparing concise and accurate documents, and developing written communications in various formats.
