Role Summary:

As a Fraud Investigation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients' interests by identifying and mitigating fraudulent activities. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various business units to effectively identify and address fraudulent activities.
  • Monitor cases of existing accounts flagged for suspicious wire transactions.
  • Report and escalate any suspicious activities to the investigation team, ensuring all pertinent information is provided to prevent potential losses.
  • Compile detailed reports on case findings for accurate documentation and analysis.
  • Analyze fraud detection data from multiple sources to identify unusual patterns that require further investigation.
  • Take prompt action on identified suspicious accounts and customers.
  • Prepare narratives and file Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage cases by providing comprehensive evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Adhere to established processes, compliance regulations, and company policies, demonstrating ethical judgment in all business practices.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in reviewing transactions for potential fraud.
  • Experience in drafting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) preferred.
  • Background in a financial institution with specific experience in fraud monitoring.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Excellent research capabilities, including familiarity with online tools for due diligence.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
