Position Overview:

Manager of Surgical Services - Operating Room

Full-Time Day Shift

The Manager of Surgical Services is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the surgical department.
  • Effectively manages resources, engages in process enhancement initiatives, coordinates staffing and scheduling, and ensures the provision of safe, efficient, and timely patient care within the designated areas of responsibility.
  • Evaluates the financial performance of the department, ensuring that expenses and productivity are in alignment with workload demands and meet established fiscal objectives.
  • Guides departmental operations and monitors the quality of care delivered to meet established quality and customer service standards.
  • Facilitates open communication with team members.
  • Participates in and leads multidisciplinary and interdepartmental efforts aimed at enhancing care, services, and operational efficiencies.
  • May be required to assist with patient care on the nursing unit as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current, unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of leadership experience in the relevant area is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred upon hire and must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of leadership experience in the relevant area is preferred.
  • Recent experience and/or certifications in the specialty area are highly desirable.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is preferred.
