Meat Cutter Specialist

About the Role

The Niemann Harvest Market Meat Journeyman Cutter is a key member of our team, responsible for assisting customers, preparing and cutting meat, maintaining quality in the fresh meat case, and helping with department cleanliness. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining a safe working environment and fostering a positive store atmosphere for customers and associates.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure customer satisfaction through engagement, education, and empowerment.
• Assist customers with requests and provide information on our products.
• Take care of special requests in a fast and friendly manner.
• Read cutting lists and cut all primals to specific techniques.
• Grind meats to meet customer demands.
• Maintain meat cases, fill cases/stock meat, and rotate product properly.
• Assist the Butcher Shop Manager with inventory and receiving meat shipments correctly.
• Operate wrapping scales and other machinery in the Meat Department.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, cases, work areas, and sales floors.
• Follow all Health Code guidelines and store/department policies.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures, serving as a safety role model.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
• Food Handler's Certification as required by State Law.

• Uniform per store policy.
• Standard meat equipment, including saws, knives, slicers, grinders, and meat wrappers.
