Regional Hospital of Scranton, a 186-bed acute care hospital nationally recognized for quality in orthopedics, robotic surgery, cardiac care, stroke care, and neurology, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) on the Med Surg-Post Surgical Unit.

About the Opportunity

This is a full-time position with 36 hours per week (.9 FTE). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, and contributing to a culture that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

The NP will be expected to:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health literacy and self-management skills.
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have:

  • A current PA RN License or Practice Permit.
  • BLS and ACLS certification, completed prior to the end of orientation period.
