Job Description

As a Senior Accountant, you will take ownership of our Accounting processes, reporting directly to the President of the organization. This role offers a clear growth path for a future management level position and visibility across the entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and process month-end journal entries.
  2. Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  3. Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  4. Generate monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  5. Perform monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  6. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  7. Ensure accurate and timely intercompany reconciliations.
  8. Manage customer invoicing and payment processing.
  9. Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
  10. Assist in resolving billing issues and discrepancies.
  11. Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
  12. Maintain accurate records of all payables and related transactions.
  13. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  14. Prepare and send out customer invoices in a timely manner.
  15. Ensure all invoicing is accurate and reflects the agreed-upon terms.
  16. Prepare intermonth financial statements and analysis as needed.
  17. Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
  18. Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
  19. Assist with payroll processing and employee benefit administration.
  20. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies.
  21. Support recruitment efforts, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
  22. Assist in onboarding new employees and conducting orientation sessions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is essential. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Experience with HR tasks is a plus.
