We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Outpatient Clinic team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with burn injuries.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patients' medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (ADN or BSN) degree.
