Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery to join our team at North Memorial Health - Robbinsdale Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our customers and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Holistic Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to customers, focusing on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Assess and Evaluate Patient Needs: Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement and Evaluate Care Plans: Execute care plans, monitor patient progress, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and Maintain Unit-Based Skills: Stay up-to-date with the latest skills and competencies required for the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Participate in Shared Accountability: Contribute to shared decision-making and accountability for nursing practices, promoting a culture of excellence and patient safety.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of L&D Experience: Possess a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with a strong focus on fetal monitoring and postpartum care.
  • Fetal Monitoring Experience: Have experience with fetal monitoring, including the ability to interpret fetal heart rate patterns and respond to changes.
  • Postpartum/Newborn Experience: Possess experience in postpartum and newborn care, including the ability to provide emotional support to new mothers and their families.
  • Epic Experience: Have experience with the Epic electronic health record system, with a strong understanding of its features and functionality.
  • BLS (AHA or ARC) & NRP: Possess current BLS (AHA or ARC) and NRP certifications, with a strong focus on maintaining up-to-date skills and knowledge.

  • Work History Required: Provide a detailed work history, including dates of employment and job responsibilities.
  • Skills Checklist: Complete a skills checklist, current to one year, highlighting relevant skills and competencies for the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Supervisory References: Provide two supervisory references, including dates of employment and a brief description of job responsibilities.
