Job Overview

MAINSAIL Group is seeking a dedicated Senior Cybersecurity Personnel Engineer to enhance our Command Control Information Environment (C2IE) Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that personnel engaged in cybersecurity tasks acquire and maintain relevant technical and management certifications to comply with DoD 8140 and related guidelines.
  • Assist in the authorization and accreditation (A&A) processes for systems and applications, ensuring adherence to DoD and Air Force policies, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Advise on policies and procedures that safeguard the integrity and accessibility of information systems while preventing unauthorized access.
  • Conduct thorough risk and vulnerability assessments of both planned and existing information systems to identify potential threats and necessary protections.
  • Foster security awareness among management and ensure that robust security principles are integrated into the organization's objectives.
  • Perform evaluations, audits, and reviews of systems security.
  • Propose contingency plans and disaster recovery strategies for systems security.
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure users of systems, networks, and data are informed about and comply with security policies.
  • Engage in network and systems design to guarantee the application of appropriate security policies.
  • Facilitate the collection, analysis, and preservation of evidence for prosecuting cybercrimes.
  • Evaluate security incidents to assess impact and execute corrective measures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to information security and cybersecurity policies in all IT service deliveries.
  • Fulfill the role of Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) as outlined in relevant guidelines for assigned systems.
  • Execute duties as Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Information System Security Officer (ISSO) as per applicable directives.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and organizations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with clients.
  • Possession of applicable DoD certifications.
  • CISSP certification is preferred.
