Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Babson College. As a key member of our Information Security Office, you will play a vital role in protecting our organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating cybersecurity threats, implementing security controls, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the overall security posture of our organization. You will also be expected to stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, and provide guidance and training to colleagues on best practices for cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect against cyber threats
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration and deployment of systems and applications
• Provide expert guidance and training to colleagues on cybersecurity best practices
• Stay current with emerging threats and technologies, and make recommendations for updates to our security policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, frameworks, and standards (e.g. NIST, CIS)
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
