Pharmacist Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Manager to join our team at The Medicine Shoppe/Care Capital Management. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and managing all aspects of pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial performance of the pharmacy location, including management of inventory, sales, payroll, expenses, and maximizing claim reimbursement.
  • Develop and implement action plans to enhance the financial viability and efficiencies of the pharmacy location.
  • Maintain high customer service levels by identifying and resolving problems.
  • Performance management and hiring of pharmacy staff, including clinicians, technicians, and drivers.
  • Conduct account management meetings and conference calls to ensure the pharmacy is meeting the needs of each customer/account.
  • Implement and enforce operational best practices within the pharmacy location.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained for job functions, including customer service, problem and complaint resolution, and management of patient profiles.
  • Conduct and document team meetings with pharmacy staff to communicate pertinent information.
  • Oversee financial performance, including management of inventory, sales, payroll, expenses, and maximizing claim reimbursement.
Requirements:
  • New York Pharmacist licensure, active and in good standing.
  • Demonstrated experience in pharmacy operations and management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in institutional pharmacy, including skilled care and assisted living, and demonstrated knowledge of the field.
  • Working knowledge of QS1 and Docutrak systems a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Automated pharmacy systems such as Parata and Dispill preferred.
  • Must be available to support a 24/7 operation by working nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.
