Medical Science Liaison

Job Summary:We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join our Field Medical Affairs Team. The successful candidate will develop ongoing professional relationships with national and regional healthcare opinion leaders and other healthcare professionals to provide medical and scientific support for Daiichi Sankyo initiatives in selected therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities:- Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals by developing skills and implementing the following:
- Presenting disease state and Daiichi Sankyo product-specific data to healthcare professionals
- Responding to unsolicited requests for medical information
- Identifying and facilitating engagement of qualified investigators and study committee members for Daiichi Sankyo clinical research programs
- Gathering customer insights regarding Daiichi Sankyo and competitor products to inform medical and commercial decision-making
- Enhancing professional expertise through attendance of select scientific meetings and professional conferences
- Developing positive working relationships with local and regional internal stakeholders to enhance Daiichi Sankyo HCP relationships
- Applying the appropriate methods to implement the FMA department strategy within their geography in alignment with Medical and Brand strategies
- Completing administrative duties, including monthly expense reporting and field activity reporting
- Representing the Medical Science Liaison function by participating in Daiichi Sankyo meetings, functions, and events
- Additional duties and responsibilities may include:
- Providing innovation in enhancing and developing professional relationships with national and regional healthcare opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
- Anticipating trends and capitalizing on opportunities
- Leading special projects/initiatives
- Assisting in the development of team members
- Representing FMA leadership at Daiichi Sankyo meetings, functions, and events
The successful candidate will have a PharmD, MD, PhD, or NP in a health sciences-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They will also have 1 or more years of experience in medical and scientific affairs, clinical practice, research, academic, or US-managed markets, with a preference for experience in Oncology, clinical research, and medical education. A valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company requirements is also necessary.
Compensation and seniority level/title will be based on experience and qualifications. Ability to travel up to 60% is required.
