Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL Class A Flex to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. As a SOLO Class A Support CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various accounts while enjoying a 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits
  • Weekly guarantee of $1250
  • Hourly pay: $25.00 per hour; overtime after 40 hours
  • Per diem pay: $50.00 per night
  • Personal mileage reimbursement and travel time paid
  • NST tenure bonus: pays $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
  • Paid training
  • Schedule: 5-day work week with 2 consecutive days off
Equipment
  • Trucks are three years or newer
  • Ryder drivers service the route, not the truck
  • 24/7 roadside maintenance by a Ryder-trained technician
Freight
  • Touch/no-touch - depends on the account supporting
