Job Summary


Walgreens is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including filling prescriptions, processing patient information, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service, engaging with patients and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate pharmacy systems, including cash registers and inventory management software, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of prescriptions and other transactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge of pharmacy operations, patient care, and customer service best practices.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic math skills and ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
