Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Executive Chef to join our team at the Environmental Learning Center. As an integral part of our food service operation, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious meals to our guests and staff.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of professional food service experience, with a strong background in kitchen operations and health safety protocols. You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals daily, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating logistics as needed
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and respectful team culture among colleagues
  • Foster strong relationships with staff, guests, and vendors to ensure seamless operations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • At least one year of professional food service experience, preferably in residential settings
  • Valid Washington State Food Handler's Permit and thorough knowledge of food safety practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
