We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual RN to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Clinical Leader for Nursing and Technician Staff, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, education, and supervision to nursing and technician staff. You will work under the general nursing process, using independent judgment to provide high-quality patient care and lead by example to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing and technician staff
- Develop and implement individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations
- Participate in quality improvement and monitoring initiatives, including TJC compliance and Magnet Recognition
- Support and implement the UNMH shared governance model
- Act as a liaison between physicians, staff, patients, families, and other departments to promote and facilitate communication, problem-solving, decision-making, crisis intervention, resource utilization, and conflict management
- Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required
- Ensure that patient medical records contain necessary information
- Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel
- 2 years directly related experience
- RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days
- Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo
This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. The working conditions include exposure to chemicals, biohazardous materials, and the need to wear personal protective equipment.
