Job Title: Polysomnography Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Technician to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a Polysomnography Technician, you will play a critical role in conducting sleep studies and providing technical support to our physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct sleep studies using various specialized technical skills
  • Prepare patients for and conduct routine and specialized sleep studies
  • Meet competency standards within 3 months of hire date
  • Provide technical data to physicians for diagnosis
  • Assist in training of house-staff and technician trainees
Requirements:
  • Current Allied Health Credential
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire
  • Designated registry within 18 months of hire as a Polysomnography Tech
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in an Allied Health Field
  • One year of health care experience
  • One year of Sleep Lab experience
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) credential
Working Environment:

The Polysomnography Technician will work in the Sleep Evaluation Center, at the bedside, and in critical care areas of the hospital.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate and understand instructions, information, and concepts
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, stand on feet for extended periods, lift, carry, push, and pull objects and patients of various weights
