We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team at Maxim Healthcare Services. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their homes, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, wellness, and safety of clients
  • Encourage clients to achieve their goals and maintain independent living skills
  • Implement crisis prevention and intervention strategies
  • Build and maintain safe and appropriate relationships with clients
  • Advocate for clients' rights and promote their individuality
  • Document client status, interactions, and behaviors in a detailed and compliant manner
  • Implement behavior support plan strategies and interventions
  • Report suspected abuse, neglect, and exploitation in a timely and accurate manner
  • Utilize skills such as prompting, instruction, modeling, and reinforcement to deliver person-centered services
  • Provide transportation to clients as needed to promote community integration and medical support
  • Engage in ongoing education, training, and self-development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Ability to read and write proficiently in English
  • Successful completion of the Direct Care Worker Competency evaluation process
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current health screening (in accordance with state regulations)
  • Proof of one of the following qualifications:
  • A valid and verifiable Pennsylvania nurses license
  • A valid and verifiable Pennsylvania certified nurse aide certification
  • Certificate of completion from a state-approved home health aide program
  • Competency evaluation developed by the Home Care Agency
  • Training program developed by a Home Care Agency or Home Care Registry
