Job Summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted programs and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual initial assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility
  • Develop and review treatment plans with patients, providing individual and group counseling services
  • Complete bio-psychosocial assessments and involve families and significant others in patients' recovery processes
  • Develop and participate in patient teaching projects, respond to patient grievances, and create aftercare and discharge plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • Minimum HS Diploma, Associates or CRSW; Bachelors or Masters in a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals a plus
  • LADC, LCMHC, LICSW, MLADC highly desirable
  • Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
