Host/Hostess

Join our team at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott as a Host/Hostess and be part of a dynamic and customer-focused environment. As a Host/Hostess, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests have an exceptional dining experience.

• Greeting and Seating: Greet guests promptly and seat them at their assigned tables in a timely manner.
• Attentive Service: Be attentive to guests' needs and provide a pleasant dining experience by assisting servers as needed.
• Cash Handling: Assist the cashier in collecting payment from guests and servers, and ensure accurate handling of cash and credit transactions.
• Knowledge and Skills: Possess a thorough knowledge of menus, current specials, and state liquor laws. Be able to effectively communicate with guests and team members in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Quality Control: Ensure the quality of menus and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Opening and Closing Duties: Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklists.

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
• Physical Demands: Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and team members in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Attendance and Punctuality: Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in compliance with Marriott hotel standards.
• Personal Appearance: Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
