Job Summary:

Sigma Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. As a Cath Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care before, during, and after procedures. You will assist physicians with adult and pediatric cardiac catheterizations, including procedures such as myocardial biopsy, transluminal coronary angioplasty, and stenting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assists physicians with adult and pediatric cardiac catheterizations.
  • Prepares for procedures using sterile technique, including scrubbing, applying surgical gowns, gloving, draping, and setting up instrument tables.
  • Records, monitors, and assesses hemodynamic data collected during catheterizations.
  • Completes patient records accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Establishes and maintains rapport with patients throughout procedures.
  • Monitors patients' physiologic and psychological status throughout procedures and responds appropriately.
  • Initiates and maintains IV access.
  • Administers ordered medications, intravenous drips, and emergency medications before, during, and after procedures.
  • Operates specialized equipment used in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responds appropriately to emergency situations within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Cath Lab tech with minimum 3 years of experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • Interventional radiology experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Covid vaccine required, including booster for those eligible (5 months after last dose). Medical/Religious exemptions must be tested weekly and be prepared to provide proof should it be requested.
