Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized examinations in MRI, adapting procedures to obtain specific diagnostic and/or therapeutic results, and preparing patients for examinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination within the guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards of Medical Imaging.
  • Evaluate the finished images to ensure appropriate identification and image quality are being submitted to the radiologists.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the procedure.
  • Transport patients to and from the department as required.
  • Promptly and accurately enter patient information into the HIS system.
  • Coordinate patient flow to ensure efficient patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in the field(s) of Radiology or completion of an ARRT eligible MRI program.
  • Certification & License Requirements: (MR)(ARRT) OR ARMRIT upon hire OR within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS within 1 year of hire.
  • Experience in/with positive outcomes in working with others.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
