Grounds Maintenance Coordinator

Position Overview:

• Supervise the daily management and upkeep of green spaces, flower beds, pathways, and sports facilities.
• Assist in the maintenance of equipment and vehicles utilized in groundskeeping.
• Guide and support the Grounds team to ensure all tasks are performed safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various maintenance vehicles, tools, and equipment necessary for grounds upkeep.
• Carry out tasks such as planting, mowing, fertilizing, and snow removal.
• Support in waste disposal, supply storage, and installation of hardscapes.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to interact positively with students, faculty, and staff.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Possession of an Illinois pesticide operator's license or willingness to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in grounds maintenance.
• Capability to operate maintenance vehicles proficiently.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions.
• Physical capability to lift heavy items and navigate stairs/ladders.
