Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN physician to join our team at Allina Health, a leading healthcare provider in the Twin Cities area. As a member of our busy and collaborative OB/GYN team, you will deliver direct patient care for OB/GYN patients at our Hastings Clinic.

Key Position Details

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care for obstetric and gynecology patients.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care to women, including general medicine, reproductive system, pregnancy, and childbirth.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being.
  • Practice in a thoughtful manner, considering cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management.
  • Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
  • May participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Practice Details:

  • We have eight labor and delivery locations, with 13,800 deliveries per year, 30 clinics, 53 OBGYNs, 21 OB hospitalists, 13 Clinical Nurse Midwives, 11 Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists, and 2 fetal interventionalists.
  • We offer nursing support programs for prescription refills, triage, and pap results.
  • We have an after-hours answering service support.
  • We are a quaternary hospital with Abbott Northwestern, Lv IV NICU, and tertiary hospitals with Mercy and United, level III NICUs, and six regional hospitals.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA required.
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain).
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable.
  • Licensed Physician - WI if applicable.
  • BLS within 180 days of hire.
