Telecommunications Representative

South County Hospital is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Telecommunications Representative to join our team. As a key member of our telecommunications team, you will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a timely manner
  • Communicate clearly and record information in appropriate systems
  • Assist callers with urgent and routine requests by directing them to the proper individuals
  • Understand and dispatch emergency situations to the proper personnel as required
  • Ensure all equipment in the telecommunications area is in working order
  • Coordinate paperwork with funeral homes and patient areas when necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
