Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our NICU team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to our critically ill patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers as needed.
  • Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Neonate Resuscitate certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • STABLE certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist, Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
