Food Captain

Key Responsibilities:

As a Food Captain at Circle K, you will be responsible for ensuring the execution of food operations in store to maximize sales and reduce waste. This includes training and coaching store associates on food execution, production, replenishment, ordering, organization, sanitization, and customer service.

Accountabilities:

• Expertise in food categories to provide guidance to store associates.
• Develop and implement training programs for store employees and operation teams on new foodservice programs.
• Conduct needs analysis and provide recommendations for improvement based on BUQAS visits.
• Monitor and improve foodservice profitability, including shrink management and inventory control.
• Collaborate with BUQAS training personnel to ensure foodservice training programs are delivered.
• Maintain food safety practices and procedures in the store.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in fast-moving consumer goods retail and/or foodservice industry.
• Training and leadership experience, with skills in collaboration, communication, and organization.
• Food Manager Certification (e.g., ServSafe or NRFSP).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education or instructional experience, or equivalent retail training experience.
• Leading or supervisory experience is desired.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in fast-moving consumer goods retail and/or foodservice industry.
• Experience in training, leadership, team building, collaboration, cooperation, communication, and organization.
• Skills in customer service, English communication (verbal and written), and French skills in Quebec Provinces.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
