The selected candidate will engage with various defense lines to manage the complete IT issue lifecycle, from identification to resolution. We are seeking to implement a self-identification process for technology issues, which will enhance the operational load on the technology risk management function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent oversight of technology risks within MUSA Securities Technology and offer consultancy to various business units by effectively identifying, mitigating, monitoring, and reporting technology and related risks (operational, compliance, governance) within MUSA Enterprise Technology.
  • Act as a steward of the Technology Risk Framework to identify, report, and mitigate technology risks.
  • Conduct independent assessments of technology maturity and control adequacy to ensure optimal business outcomes regarding performance, stability, security, and service availability.
  • Enhance and maintain a proactive risk culture through effective risk management and collaboration with technology teams and internal partners, engaging with senior leaders across the organization.
  • Review and challenge the execution outcomes of the first line-of-defense risk program.
  • Monitor legal, regulatory, compliance, and audit matters for assigned areas of oversight and ensure timely responses.
  • Lead complex projects with significant technology and enterprise-level implications, providing informal leadership and serving as a resource for intricate solutions.
  • Navigate interdisciplinary environments with ease, bridging business and IT functions effectively, and transitioning between advisory and implementation roles.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in banking, technology, risk management, or issue resolution.
  • Strong business acumen, management experience, problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven subject matter expertise in issue remediation and regulatory compliance within a technology context.
  • Experience in strategy governance and risk oversight.
  • Familiarity with risk measurement methodologies, including the development of Key Risk Indicators and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Knowledge of enterprise Governance Risk and Compliance (eGRC) platforms (e.g., RSA Archer).
  • Ability to operate independently and manage ambiguity to deliver value.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, establishing credibility with all management levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to organize and manage complex initiatives, delivering high-quality work products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CIA, CFE, or CRMA.
Other Information:
  • As per MUFG's work policy, the position requires four days of onsite work and one day of remote work.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $135K, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
