Job Summary:

The Lead Cook Night Shift is responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and safety to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques to meet the needs of customers and the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor cooks and other kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and high-quality food service.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

The Lead Cook Night Shift will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a team environment.
