POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Press Operator is a diligent professional who adheres to instructions and takes pride in delivering high-quality output.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare, adjust, and operate the press feeder to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure the press is ready for subsequent jobs upon completion of current tasks. Monitor status and prepare necessary materials including plates, paper, and ink mixtures.
  • Support the pressman in maintaining print quality and alignment.
  • Assist with end-of-shift clean-up and routine maintenance of the press.
  • Alert pressmen when supplies are running low.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, work instructions, procedures, and regulations.
  • Verify that all equipment, tools, and work areas are in optimal condition and free from safety and printing issues.
  • Immediately report any equipment malfunctions or product defects to the Pressroom Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders and customer requirements.
  • Mechanically skilled and focused on production.
  • Exceptional attention to detail in printing.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
