MRI Supervisor Job Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a highly skilled MRI Supervisor to lead our Radiology Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of all MRI activities, ensuring the highest level of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and direct MRI staff to ensure the quality of services rendered is acceptable.
  • Confirm orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all MRI orders.
  • Perform a wide range of MRI/MRA procedures to help diagnose physical and physiological disorders.
  • Operate a variety of MRI scanners and apply a wide range of medical software and imaging techniques to produce anatomical and functional imaging.
  • Adhere to established scanning protocols.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Junior College/Technical School is required.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography is required.
  • ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance is required.
  • WV Medical Imaging License is required.
  • CPR is required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 Years of Position-Related Experience.

The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology, medical terminology, MRI physics and sequences, application software, MRI safety, and contrast indications and contraindications. They will also be able to skillfully operate MRI scanner and related patient support equipment as required. Adherence to established procedure protocols is essential.
