Key Responsibilities- Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy, including arterial blood gases, vital signs, and lung function changes.
- Consult with physicians to address any adverse reactions or concerns.
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to manage patient care and assist with medical procedures.
- Set up and operate various devices, including therapeutic gas administration apparatus, mechanical ventilators, and aerosol generators.
- Follow specified treatment parameters and provide emergency care as needed.
- Inspect, test, clean, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and records.
- Assess patient condition by reviewing blood analysis results, lung capacity, and other relevant information.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
- Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program or technical college course.
- Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current RCP license in the state of practice.
- Current RN or LPN license in the state of practice.
- Experience in respiratory care, emergency care, and intensive care.
- Valid and current driver's license and auto insurance.
- Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
