Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Central Territory. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and meeting sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer service areas.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Meet sales goals and objectives, working collaboratively with the sales team to achieve results.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management, ensuring that the store is visually appealing and well-stocked.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with customers, management, and coworkers.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of the Point of Sales System and other programs adopted by the TSA ARC.
  • Ability to give change accurately and handle cash transactions.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
Working Conditions

The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather. The employee is routinely exposed to outdoor weather. This is a full-time or part-time position, requiring weekend and evening hours.
