Occupational Therapist

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an Occupational Therapist to join our team at ECHN. As an Occupational Therapist - Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect Occupational Therapy services to Adult and Adolescent Behavioral Health inpatients. Your primary goal will be to assist patients in achieving their maximal functioning and contributing to a caring and compassionate environment through ECHN's Core Values of Respect, Teamwork, and Communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient's level of functioning and treatment needs in a comprehensive manner, including review of pertinent clinical information.
• Develop treatment plans including age-appropriate goals and interventions, which are written in specific, measurable, and time-specific terms.
• Implement age-appropriate, patient-specific treatment, communicating and coordinating patient's plan of care with the treatment team.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely manner in accordance with ECHN Departmental/Behavioral Health standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide supervision on group topics and group skills to inpatient staff.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) received from an Accredited College or University.
• State OTR license required.
• Must be trained in PMT and de-escalation techniques, as prescribed by ECHN, and receive certification within 6 months of hire into the role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in working with the chronic BH/psychiatric population.
