Position Overview

The Bar Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional beverage service to guests. This role requires a personable and professional individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will maintain excellent attendance, be available to work events as scheduled, and provide outstanding service to ensure a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional guest service, interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Follow established bar pre-shift notes and menus to ensure accurate and efficient service.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining a responsible and safe environment for guests.
  • Develop knowledge of various beer, wine, and spirits, and effectively suggestively upsell products to enhance the guest experience.
  • Pour drinks responsibly, adhering to company standards for serving size.
  • Verify the minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages by checking guest IDs.
  • Communicate a cut-off to guests as required.
  • Listen to and respond to customer requests and concerns, de-escalating situations as needed.
  • Collaborate with management and security to address any issues or concerns.
  • Manage cash accurately, responsible for issued bank at the bar.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station, ensuring bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including setup and breakdown of bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bartender or barback.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a team environment.
  • 2 years of relative hospitality experience.
  • Relevant training certificate or permit.
