Position: Securities Operations Specialist
Contract Duration: 8 months
Work Locations: Various
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily back-office operational tasks, including but not limited to account transfers, modifications to client information, fund distributions, DTC transactions, year-end tax documentation, and charitable contributions.
- Engage with Reporting and Technology departments to address and resolve reporting discrepancies as they arise.
- Assist clients with requests for account statements and tax-related documents such as 1099s and K1s.
- Demonstrate initiative and possess strong analytical skills, thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities while keeping the team informed on ongoing tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in brokerage or securities middle-office or back-office operations.
- Experience in daily processing and reconciliation tasks related to:
- Account transfers (both ACATS and non-ACATS)
- Corporate Actions and Reorganizations
- Dividends and Interest
- Mutual Funds
- Purchases and Sales
- Settlements
- Stock Record Maintenance
- Familiarity with systems such as BetaNXT Beta, Broadridge, or FIS/SunGard Phase 3 is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to comprehend the business's products, systems, and specific client requirements.
- Strong attention to detail with the capability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who takes individual accountability for the quality and precision of work.
- Must be a self-motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
- Skilled in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple tasks while keeping the team updated on progress.
