Interventional Radiology Technologist

Magnet Medical is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Olympia, Washington. This 13-week contract offers a competitive salary of $120,000 for 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend to be determined.
About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and compassionate technologist to assist with minimally invasive procedures in our interventional radiology suite. As an IR technologist, you will work closely with interventional radiologists and other medical professionals to perform procedures that can treat diseases, blockages, and injuries without the need for traditional surgery.
You will be responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment during procedures. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the interventional radiology suite by ensuring all necessary imaging equipment, sterile instruments, and supplies are available and functioning.
- Reviewing patient information, medical history, and previous imaging studies to ensure the correct procedure and appropriate imaging protocols.
- Verifying patient identity, allergies, and consent forms before the procedure begins.
- Explain the procedure to the patient, address any concerns, and provide reassurance to reduce anxiety.
- Assisting the interventional radiologist in performing a wide range of minimally invasive procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
- Certification in radiologic technology and interventional radiology.
- Experience working in an interventional radiology setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
