Job Summary:

The Parts Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all parts and materials are accurately accounted for and readily available to support production operations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, and recording location
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate with maintenance team to ensure timely receipt of parts and materials
  • Issue purchase orders and requisition materials as needed for production and non-production items
  • Request quotes and compile bid information for parts and materials
  • Work with various departments to resolve special project requests and needs
  • Collaborate with receiving, scheduling, production, and accounts payable departments to ensure responsibilities are met
  • Participate in monthly inventory process and make system adjustments as needed
  • Deliver parts to technicians or part recipients
  • Notify MRO purchaser of damaged parts or shortages
  • Maintain proper housekeeping conditions of warehouse facilities and ensure security of inventory

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in business preferred
  • 1-2 years of related work experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using MRP system and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and Asset or Maintenance Management Software Systems (CMMS) a plus
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work holidays, nights, and weekends
