Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled MRI Safety Officer to join our team.
Job SummaryThe MRI Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of MRI equipment and procedures across the system. This includes creating, enforcing, and auditing MRI-safe practices, as well as providing education and training to staff on MRI safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement MRI safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with MRI safety standards
- Provide education and training to staff on MRI safety protocols
- Collaborate with medical, technical, and nursing staff to ensure safe MRI practices
- Monitor and report on quality programs and MRI safety metrics
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiography or MRI training
- ARRT certification in MRI
- Basic Life Support Certification
- 5 years of experience as a MRI Technologist in a hospital or healthcare environment
