Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cash Transaction Representative to join our team in North/South Eastern Connecticut. As the first and premier Staffing Agency in the region, established in 1989, we provide top-notch staffing services to various industries.

Salary & Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $20.00 per hour, with a 6-month contract. This position requires heavy cash handling skills and recent experience in a customer service setting.

Job Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys interacting with customers, taking payments, and providing exceptional service. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing front counter payments and directing customers to other representatives as needed.
  • Taking customer payments and providing receipts.
  • Receiving and processing payment of bills.
  • Balancing cash against receipts and preparing deposits.
  • Maintaining customer activity logs.
  • Preparing the daily cash report correctly and within established time frames.
  • Preparing miscellaneous deposits.
  • Opening and distributing incoming mail.
  • Closing lobby and cash desk according to established procedures.
  • Working with team members to achieve measurable customer service goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of office machines, including computers, typewriters, and calculators.
  • One to three years' experience in a customer service setting or a job function that demonstrates effective customer interaction.
  • One year's experience in high-volume cash handling.
  • Strong computer skills, including moving among screens, typing information, and researching customer accounts online.
