Job Title: Veterinary ER Supervisor

Care Center, Cincinnati is seeking an experienced Veterinary ER Supervisor to lead our night shift team. As a key member of our hospital operations, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations and optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the ER and Nursing Teams during night shifts, coordinating patient care and resource management.
  • Provide essential leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the teams, upholding high-quality care standards.
  • Establish clear guidelines and expectations for managers, ensuring consistent support and clear communication.
  • Supervise workflow, including patient triage, care of hospitalized patients, task prioritization, and coordination with Specialty departments.
  • Manage breaks for ICU staff, facilitate patient transfers, and address periods of idleness through redirection.
  • Disseminate important information to the team, including changes in protocols and policies, and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and CE Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
  • Proven subject matter expert of the complex inner workings of an Emergency department.
  • Complete a minimum of 6 hours annually in non-technical areas, such as management, leadership, and HR.
  • Fulfill a minimum of 2 hours annually in clinical continuing education focused on ER/CC, in addition to meeting CE obligations outlined by AAHA and state licensure.
