At Novant Health, we seek a Nutrition Care Consultant to optimize the nutritional status of our patients. This role requires a registered clinical dietitian with a strong foundation in medical nutrition therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience in individualized care plans and education on disease and nutrition risk management.

This position works closely with an interdisciplinary team to manage health and nutrition factors. The consultant will communicate effectively with patients through various settings, including phone, face-to-face, or video conferencing. Key responsibilities include scheduling and follow-up with patients, documentation, and implementation of nutrition therapy and education.

  • Education: A 4-year bachelor's degree in dietetics, nutrition, foods and nutrition, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of experience as a registered clinical dietitian is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensure in the appropriate state are required.
  • Additional Skills: The ability to complete skills validation and competency testing, and knowledge to support patient education and cultural diversity are essential.
