Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

The HVAC Specialist will:
  • Work on a variety of HVAC systems including split package, residential, light commercial, mini-splits, VAVs, and AHUs
  • Utilize a multi-meter for voltage checks
  • Perform brazing tasks using a torch
  • Prepare work orders and estimate material costs
  • Assist in training junior technicians in mechanical repair techniques

Essential Skills:

The ideal candidate will:
  • Be a self-starter capable of working independently
  • Read and interpret schematic diagrams
  • Understand the refrigeration cycle and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively
  • Prioritize workplace safety while using tools and equipment

Requirements:

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation
  • EPA Type II Refrigeration License
  • Completion of HVAC I course or equivalent
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
  • U.S. citizenship for access to military installations

Physical Requirements:

Candidates should be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Engage in various physical activities including climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

Having an EPA Universal Refrigeration License is a plus.
