Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a challenging opportunity in Sitka, Alaska.

This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care and a strong understanding of customer service principles.

The travel nurse will be responsible for providing clinical services, working with providers and clinic staff to ensure excellent quality of care and services, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

The position requires a strong ability to multitask, work independently, and effectively communicate with other staff and departments.

The travel nurse will also be responsible for maintaining medication inventory and supplies, ensuring quality control checks are done, and documenting all care and services provided.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and a willingness to learn and grow in a new environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services, including working with providers and clinic staff to ensure excellent quality of care and services
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment
  • Document all care and services provided, completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner
  • Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating the needs of these individuals to ensure efficient and quality patient care
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource for their patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN licensure, Alaska licensure
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • 1 year acute care experience preferred
  • 6 months addiction services experience preferred
