Job Summary:
Griffin Health Services Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Patient Safety Clinical Specialist to support all clinical performance improvement functions and collaborate with other department team members to support patient safety and other functions of the Department of Patient Safety and Care Improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Patient Safety Managers to support high reliability throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with patients, patient representatives, and hospital employees to support patient relations, provide incident investigation and analysis of occurrence, and follow-up and coordination of action plans.
- Support data collection, management, and reporting, as well as meeting preparation and follow-up.
- Participate in multidisciplinary improvement teams to drive process improvements that support high reliability in patient safety science.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Education: LPN/RN
- Experience: Minimum six months in a similar position
- Computer literacy and typing skills
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to input data in multiple web-based data platforms and Microsoft Excel programs
- Effective communication skills that embody the CHAMP and PEARLS components
- Attention to detail with regard to safety science, Root Cause analysis, and clinical debriefs
- Customer service skills related to patient relations, service recovery, and grievances
