The Individualized Home Support / IHS / ILS / DSP / caregiver is a vital member of our team at AbleLight, providing direct support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as dining, mobility, health, and hygiene
- Accompany individuals on errands and outings, promoting socialization and community engagement
- Attend special events and activities, such as outdoor walks, games, and social events, to enhance the individual's quality of life
- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires, fostering a sense of independence and empowerment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record and reliable vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Mental health experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
